radio alert

today, 29/jan/2016, at 8pm swiss time, 2pm EST, re-broadcast of Nathalie Stutzmann‘s concert where she sang and conducted Orfeo55 at the Bach Festival in Lausanne last november. I think this was the program.

tomorrow, 30/Jan/2016, 2pm EST, 7pm GMT, 8pm CET, live from Liège, Anna Caterina Antonacci sings the double-bill “Il segreto di Susanna” (a clip in previous post) and “La voix humaine”. You can get directly there using this link. Sadly i’ll miss the 1/2 half as I’ve just been invited to a new year party! (Yes, our new year is coming up in 2 days!!)

AT THE SAME TIME, (GRRRR), tomorrow, 30/Jan/2016, 2pm EST, 7pm GMT, 8pm CET, live from Milan, Il trionfo del tempo e del disinganno” with Sara Mingardo on Rai Radio 3!!! somebody pllllllease help me record this pleaaaseeee (Strayyyyy 🙂 ). The player is right above it i believe, under “Ascolta in diretta”. If i recall the quality can be a bit suspicious…

more to come i think, as i kept seeing left and right am missing live broadcast from Wigmore Hall…

Edit: So i sat through the first concert, really nice! and somehow it sent me to search for NS singing Händel (she sang Bach in the first link).. here’s music for the rest of the warm afternoon here. there are quite a few things to enjoy in the clip i find.. in fact i found this clip already last Dec.. and at first was quite impressed with the orchestra (yes yes, her voice+phrasing, i realllly like!) phrasing.. and of course, do read down the comment section dear readers for the conductor’s name!

      for once i’d love for them to have martinée! sad as it sounds.. i might have to “skip” ACA for il trionfo.. simply b/c she has an army of fans who will record it (arghhhhhh, i hate skipping live performance! with her!!, that’s exactly where you feel all the suspense..) this is why we need *two* computers! (which i don’t have yet, this should motivate 😀 )
      (currently enjoying Nathalie on radio, very nice)

          ps- a bit unrelated, but while i was listening to Nathalie on the first link, they were playing an Alcina aria as an advertisement for something coming up very soon live broadcast it think! though my fine french comprehension can only get that far… i’ll keep searching

      yes of course you can say something Yvette 🙂 , hope you enjoy the broadcasts! am really debating.. but since i have bribed stray to capture il trionfo for me i must tune in to AnnaCat, cant wait to hear her live, first step to eventually seeing her live (dehggi beats me to it! 😀 )

    Welcome to live commentary. WOW the rai3 link is bad as usual, so upsetting that they can’t upgrade it to 128kb at least.. this is a site that works for me: http://icestreaming.rai.it/3.mp3 , this one sounds better on my headset than the default on rai radio3 site, but Stray said she found a better link even… we’ll sort out.. they started PRECISELY at 14.00 EST… with ACA coming from Liège right behind… i’m here for that: http://streaming.rtbf.be:8000/mus3128xrtbf

    oy, sooo lovely, which woodwind is this? oboe? or clarinet?? following by looovely violins.. she must be lighting up a cigarette 😀

    now in harmony! really charming music! i love the conducting too. if we updating this to 21st century, she should be sneaking out to do yoga and he join her jumping ropes at the end 😉

    that done, i now switching over to organ+harpsichord heaven… already missing everything Disinganno sings in the first half i believe?

    meanwhile, on the other channel, ACA is giving an interview in french…, i’ve resorted to using the phone, that’s why those direct links above works directly.

    ohhhhhh, no i didn’t miss it, she’s now singing this LOOOOOOOOOVVVEEELY aria!!! (SM that is..) , so interesting to hear breathing through this.. but she’s actually breathing more than usual! but i love how “piece of cake” she makes it! wow, that’s some serious harpsichord attack in the B part! quite interesting embellishments too!

    ah, i think i get the breathing part! it’s a fully staged version! ok, before i have to run, i’ll have to post this aria up… w.o.w.

    the harpsichord is taking over the world (and i don’t mind 🙂 )

    ok, that’s some pace, i think the tenor is left in the dust…’

    you know what I have concluded through all these? Händel conquers! (SM will help everytime 😉 ). Dehggi, i hope you had a chance to hear the 1st half of this at least (il trionfo..), in Stray we trust.. i have to run now, soooooo sad.. but it’s ok, it’s a new year party, no reason to be sad 😀

        many thanks Stray! now happily re-listening to il trionfo… i think i hear this “hollow” sound on the on-time version.. hollow = the typical artifacts when they give us such shitty feeds.. i’ll inspect the other version as well.. but i’m always edgy that even now rai3 can’t upgrade their streaming.. it might sound good for pop music but we need a whole range for classical 🙂
        (but you know i’ve also recently discovered art-tv purposely distribute crappy sound w/ their videos if they want to release video later on dvd.. that’s why the SM singing Brahms alto rhapsody was so sh*tty when they made available.. until i merged radio into it 😀 ) . fingers crossed they don’t boot me off but they can’t claim i take their sound 😀 )

          Yes, it sounds like it was recorded in a train station. But frankly I think there’s also a factor of their using cheap mics and indifferent sound engineers. We’ll find out for sure if this gets out to other stations.
