After drooling over at Anik’s site reading up on Romina Basso, I went digging a bit and found this above photo. There’s an official album from the production site! and a live recording! How about a contralto to trumpet to continue Tuesday (or start Wednesday, depending on where you are globally):

thank you for the links! That channel is choc-full of Neapolitan school – bookmarked!
As for the director’s website, my favrote image may be this one: http://www.ingridvwr.be/sites/default/files/styles/large/public/photos/productions/ivwr-vergine_photoericlegrand_36.jpg?itok=c_XtCXdi
(too bad the video is password protected…)
Looks like an interesting production, though, with the reenactment of a Baroque painting frame and the mannerist poses.
Speaking of Basso recordings: I’ve got the radio broadcast of her Sephardic Songs, live concert, and the Mitologia. Just in case…

ps- i should mention though, that in this live performance, it was so hard for me to hear her! S.Mingardo’s voice is significantly richer and darker and can really stand out. Hers, sometimes if you are not paying attention (why wouldn’t you?! but we’re working while listening!) you can completely miss her. I think it’s primarily true here because Mingardo sings 80% of the time…
